Drefach 5 Under 15s 2

Saturday 21st September 2013

Llangennech will be ruing a missed opportunity after taking a 2-0 lead at league leaders Drefach on Saturday.

Squad: Owen Flowers, Aled Evans, Alex Goddard, Liam Jones, Ciaran Melly, Tim Thomas, Jacob Owens, Rhys Austin, Owen Williams, Jack Gilmore-Jones, Dylan Nicholas-Clark, Kyan Koszalski-Evans and Sam Morris.

An excellently disciplined first half performance had put Llangennech 1-0 up at the break.  The team kept their shape well and our forwards always looked a threat when we gained posession.  Dylan Nicholas-Clark put Llan in front after running onto a through ball and beating the goalkeeper with a low shot.

The away side made an excellent start to the second half too, Dylan this time had a much harder job to make a goalscoring opportunity for himself.  His pace allowed him to get away from his man and he made no mistake with the finish.

Disappointingly, Llangennech's level of performance dropped as Drefach took a firm grip on the game.  Five goals were conceded in twenty five minutes to emphatically win the game and dismiss any hopes that we had of salvaging something.

The boys will be keen to bounce back immediately as they take on Camford at Penygaer next Saturday.
