Could you be their hero?

Sunday 1st June 2014

With the football season only recently finished, attention within the club has already turned to the next campaign.

It promises to be such an exciting time for the club with the development of our new pitch at Llangennech School beginning this summer.

Players of all ages will be desperate to play football, especially after watching their heroes at this summer’s World Cup and having been inspired by the recent successes of Welsh stars, Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey who struck the winning goals in the Champions League and FA Cup finals.

We already know that we have the demand for ten different boys’ age groups and one girls’ age group.  Unfortunately though, we are unable to run five of the boys’ age groups at present due to a lack of volunteers.

So we appeal to you.  Could you volunteer as a coach or do you know anyone that could coach?  The age groups that are currently short of volunteers are under 14s, 12s, 11s, 9s and 7s.

Volunteering can be one of the most rewarding things that you can do.  The thrill of inspiring youngsters to play football and help them to improve can feel hugely satisfying and those same youngsters will look up to you as a hero for allowing them to have the chance to play.  You would be given full support and training from the club and the Welsh Football Trust.

If you feel that you could be a coach, please do not hesitate to get in touch.  We would be delighted to hear from you.  Contact Martin Williams on 07965 447430 or
