Charity Cyclists

Tuesday 10th June 2014

This week, two members of the club's committee are participating in arduous cycle rides in the hope of raising money for two extremely worthwhile causes.

Already on his way is our former Press Officer and under 10s coach, Mathew Williams.  He is raising money for the Stroke Association and is part of a group of fundraisers cycling from Llanelli to Newcastle.  The Town to Toon challenge lasts five days.  Mathew is currently in Nottingham after day two.  All information about Mathew's fundraising efforts can be found at www.justgiving.com/fasterfitterthinner.

Secondly we have Mark "Tosh" Thomas about to set out on his own charity cycle ride of 360miles in 4 days from Llanelli to north Wales & back, raising money for motor neurone disease.

He leaves Llanelli on 26th June and hopes to make it back on 29th along with 23 brave friends. The challenge is called y Ddolwen Fawr.  All information of their challenge can be found at http://www.zen244603.zen.co.uk/.

We're sure you'll agree that both are making a fantastic effort for two very worthy causes.  If you can spare any cash to make a donation, we're certain that they and their charities will be very grateful.
