Under 6's

The final games of the season for our Under 6's took place this past weekend, yet again with some bad May weather.

6 players took to the pitch, including 2 individuals playing up an age group, and there was some very good football on show. There were plenty of goals for the boys and the introduction of some specific positions and basic tactics due to the ability and development demonstrated in recent weeks.

Coach Dan Price said, "It's been an absolute pleasure welcoming another batch of youngsters into the club, in what has been the busiest intake for many years. Despite limited opportunities to play games, they have embraced and thoroughly enjoyed every minute they have been able to play and there are very positive signs for this group as they progress within the club".

Squad: Dafydd, Felix, Ioan, Isaac, Ollie and Riley K

Under 7's

Last weekend also saw the U7's complete their season as the boys were very excited to get going on a miserable morning.

They played well in every game taking a lot of what they have been practising in training onto the pitch. Scoring some great team and some good solo goals.

Coach Mike O'Mara said, "It's been a difficult stop-start season but the boys have given 100% when we've managed to get on the pitch. They've been great to coach."

Squad: Evan, Steff, Theo N, Theo k, Eddie, Bobby, Josh, Tomos, Tom, Oscar and Osian

Under 9's

The U9's took on Camford on Saturday after the weather denied the game from going ahead on Friday night.

Llan played some very good team football as well as defending superbly.

Coach Charlie gave a special mention to goalkeeper Ioan who made some excellent saves.

Well done to all involved.

Under 13's

Going into the game, Llangennech had key players missing due to illness and then injury throughout the game.

Llan matched Camford at the start and had a couple of chances to take the lead as Ashton beat the defender and rounded the keeper and then put the ball agonisingly wide.

Llan created a few more chances towards the end of the first half but had to reorganise due to injuries before the start of a second-half which Llangennech struggled in.

Another game under our belts and it will stand us in good stead for next season.

Unfortunately, the weather ruled for the U11's on Thursday evening and on Saturday which denied the 1st team their first fixture in 2021 against Abergwili.

It was good however, to see 4 teams manage to get games played on a very wet weekend!
