Pembrey 0-4 Llangennech

Tuesday 9th September 2008

Two goals in each half against Pembrey earned Llangennech their second three points of the league season on Tuesday night.

Gavin Williams opened the scoring for the visitors after 20 minutes, showing quick reactions to divert Chris Pike's shot into the top corner with a looping header.

Tom Harris latched onto Nathan Phillips' long pass after 35 minutes and drove a fierce cross infront of goal which was headed into his own net by a Pembrey defender.

In the second half there was a long wait for the third goal which eventually came after 70 minutes when substitute Julian York's pace took him past 3 defenders down the left flank before he crossed to Paul Thomas who had an easy tap in.

With five minutes left Emyr Williams added a fourth with a follow up when the goalkeeper saved Jonathan Dakin's header.

At the end new signing Blocker certainly lived up to his nickname and showed his willingness to put his body on the line for the team preventing a fierce shot from hitting the target!
