Llangenench U 11's V Camford Whites

Saturday 17th January 2009

Perfect playing conditions made for a great competitive game of football down Llangennch park.

Llangennech fielded Cai Morris, Owain Thomas, Ieuan Thomas, Tim Thomas, Leon Morris, Nathan Wooldridge, Lloyd Francis, Tom Roberts, Jordan Badman, and Fraser Dickson.

Like all Camford sides the whites are a well organised team with a strong defence with skilfull strikers capable of scoring goals on the break.

1st quarter - Cai, Ieuan, Owain lloyd, tom, Jordan, fraser.            Llangenech dominated this game from the first whistle and had a number of chances in he 1st quarter which were either well saved by a good Camford keeper or just missed the target. llangennech enjoyed the majority of possesion n this quarter and put together some good passing moves which had everything but a goal . socre 0 -0.

2nd quarter : Cai, Tim, Leon, Owain, Jordan, Nathan, Fraser                  The 2nd quarter saw a change of personnel for llangenench but they continued to dominate the game. Nathan linking well with fraser to create a number of chances which Fraser subsequently converted. 1-0. Another goal followed by Fraser who cooly slipped a shot under pressure from an Camfords oncoming goalie. 2 - 0.

3rd quarter. Cai, Ieuan, Tim, lloyd, Nathan, lloyd, Tom , Jordan. relentless pressure from Jordan and Tom whilst Nathan and Tim picked up all the pieces in midfield and Ieuan and tim eagerly cleaned up everything Camford threw at them. Jordans crosses from corners caused problems to camford time and again which camford escaped on a few occasions from goal mouth scrambles. One instance saw the Camford goalie make 6 saves in a row to deny llangennech a deserved goal. A goal did come however from tom Roberts  who more than deserved it from another brilliant display. 3-0.

4th Quarter Camford started the final quarter strongly but llangennech looked comfortable and enjojed their football, their passing was crisp and every player worked tirelessly for each other Tim was exceptional in midfield but he only epitomised the spirit of this team. No goals were scored in this quarter. Llangenench again showed they have the team that can score goals and battle to get results with skilfull displays. This clean sheet also shows that as a defensive unit they are also hard to beat and break down.

great game and result. Final score Llangennech 3 - camford Whites 0
