Porth Tywyn 2-4 Llangennech

Saturday 17th January 2009

Two goals from Curtis Roberts and one each from Tom Harris and Rhys Wakely ensured victory for Llangennech at Porth Tywyn.

Team:  Martin Williams, Christian Williams, Nathan Phillips, Ian Morgan, Steffan Cook, Tom Harris, Rhys Wakely, Darren Dickeson, Dean Williams, Curtis Roberts, Paul Thomas.  Subs:  Dai Lewis, Tom Ballard.  Subs not used:  Simon Davies.

Tom Harris gave Llangennech the lead in the third minute when the ball broke to him after a Darren Dickeson long throw.

Curtis Roberts then doubled the lead from another Dickeson throw, though Curtis neatly turned his man before finding the back of the net.

Porth Tywyn then got themselves back within touching distance when Llan scored an own goal from a corner.

Curt then had another goal chalked off when the referee spotted some shirt pulling, before he finally did get his second of the day before half time.

In the second half, Rhys Wakely added a fourth with a cross/shot that found the top corner, but in the last minute, Porth Tywyn brought the advantage down to just two goals when they made the most of some slack marking in the Llan defence.
