Hendy 3 Under 13's 3

The under 13's fought out a 3-3 draw away at Hendy on Saturday morning with goals from Liam Williams, Steffan Edwards and Kieran Partridge.

Team:  Josh Watkins, Mark Evans, Josh Evans, Dafydd Green, Callum Jenkins, Kieran Partridge, Steffan Edwards, Liam Williams, Josh Medway, Steffan Lund, Corrie.

After going two goals down within the first twenty minutes through some inexperienced defending, Liam Williams scored an individual goal, running with the ball from the half way line before blasting a shot past the keeper.

At half time we were 2-1 down, and showed good character to come back despite conceding a third goal shortly after the break.  Steffan Edwards scored our second after Kieran Partridge's rampage forward worried the Hendy back line.

The equaliser came with just five minutes remaining.  The outstanding Liam Williams was fouled near the corner flag and got up to take the free kick himself.  His effort was only parried onto the bar by the goalkeeper with Kieran Partridge reacting quickest to the loose ball to bring us back level.

Overall it was a gutsy performance with a bare eleven players on a very windy morning.  We need to learn to keep our shape for the whole game, and time our runs going forward.

Training will be in Llangennech Park on Monday at 6pm ready for the home game against Morriston Town next Saturday (kick off 10:30am).  Players are asked to meet in the park at 9:30am for that game.
