Llangennech Football Club is this season trying to start a girls football team at the under 11's age group. We already have six girls but need at least 10 players to enter the local girls football organisation. We are particularly looking for girls who are currently in years 4 and 5 (years 5 and 6 from September), but younger girls are welcome to come training.
Training takes place every Sunday morning at 10:30am in Llangennech Park. The new training pitch we use is hidden from view behind the hedge at the back of the cricket pitch, so please don't be put off if you don't see us immediately on arriving. We are in negotiations with the council to get the hedge cut to a lower height.
Organised matches will start from September and will be on Sundays, by which time training will switch to midweek. Winter training will be indoors at the fantastic Scarlets training barn. All players will be given an even amount of game time irrespective of ability.
If any adults are interested in helping to coach this team, we would be very grateful to speak to you and we will ensure that you achieve the necessary qualifications to do so without any cost to yourself.
