Match report from the Llanelli Star:
Bwlch started their Star Cup campaign with a convincing victory against Llangennech.
It was Llangennech however, who had the best early opportunity with midfielder Darren Dickeson firing over from 12 yards.
From then on it was Bwlch who applied the pressure and they opened the scoring in the 30th minute, striker Clatyon Jenkins sliding the ball under the keeper from a wide angle.
Five minutes later Bwlch went 2-0 up.
Jenkins this time beat the offside trap and finished with a neat lob over Martin Williams.
The goalkeeper was in good form for Llangennech - doing well all game to keep the score down.
The tie was put to bed two minutes into the second half when winger Matthew Hughes put Bwlch 3-0 to the good after Llangennech had failed to clear their lines.
Llangennech did threaten a comeback when they pulled a goal back, with Antony Lewis finishing well at the far post.
However this proved to be small consolation as Bwlch scored two more goals in quick succession.
Hughes got his second of the match and then Jenkins completed his hat-trick after some fine play by winger Sam Chiffi.
The best, however, was saved until lastm with Bwlch completing the scoring with a stunning 30-yard thunderbolt of a shot from forward Anthony James.
