Camford 2 Under 12s 7

Saturday 10th October 2009

Camford hosted Llangennech in Penygaer playing fields on the back of an unbeaten start to the season. Camford hold top spot in section A of the Under 12's league.

Llangennech team: Ieuan Thomas, Owain Thomas, Ross Howells, Scott Wilson, Tim Thomas, Callum Jones ,Leon Morris, Nathan Wooldridge, Daniel Breddy, Lloyd Francis, Joshua Broadhurst, Jordan Badman, Tom Roberts, Fraser Dickson.

Llangennech showed their inventive brand of football from the starting whistle. The passing play was quick and decisive and Camford found it difficult to get any hold of the game espcially with Lloyd and Josh in midfield breaking down every Camford attack . The  passing between the strikers and midfield  brought a number of goals in the first half, the first coming from Jordan after 5minutes. As Llangennech dominated the game Daniel Breddy showed  great feet and kept Camford on their toes constantly, Jordan looked dangerous everytime he had the ball running at the Camford defence. The link up play between Fraser and Tom was quick and decisive and Tom's eye for goal was soon rewarded with a goal . Lloyd and Josh controlled the middle of the park , and broke down every camford attack early to set their strikers heading towards goal. A deserved goal for Dan came after 20minutes which was followed by a second from Jordann after 25 minutes. Half time 4-0.

The second half started as the first finished with Llangennech on the ascendency, one change was made with Callum replacing Scott in defence. Fraser finished a well worked move for his first goal of the game.Nathan replaced Dan after the second half started. Camford battled to get into the game and were rewarded by  two goals in quick succession. LLangennech showed their character and concentrated on their own game , Ross hurt his foot in a tackle and was replaced by Leon as left back. The defence of Owain, Callum, Tim and Leon held firm and allowed all players to play with confidence, passing the ball about the park, stretching Camford until a goals came Tom whoscored not once but twice from passing moves to finish the game.

One player not mentioned above is Ieuan Thomas in goals who dealt with every shot Camford had expertly and swept up every loose ball that came his way.A great game.

A great advert for passing football and a well deserved win against a previously unbeated Camford side..

Final score Llangennech U12's 7 Camford 2
