Loughor 1-0 Llan

Llan were left empty handed at Loughor despite a superb performance which should have seen them take something from the encounter. The away side were hoping to kick on from last week's point but departed with nothing as Loughor's goal 20 mins in was enough to settle the match. The goal came from a throw from the right touchline, opening the space for a cross into the danger area. The ball bounced and Llan's lack of cover saw a Loughor play beat the advancing goalie to score.

However, Llan should have been level at half time as Baris Hakman's superb solo run deserved better. The full back steamed through the middle of the pitch, leaving two defenders for dead but dragged his shot wide against the goalkeeper.

The second half saw the introduction of Hachha Rai up front. Immediately, Rai caused problems for Loughor with his direct running as Llan dominated the second half. Hachha picked the ball up ont he half way line and after a determined run won Llan a corner. Liam Williams' set pieces were causing trouble for Loughor, but Llan failed to get on the end of them, until the ball broke to Jordan Frampton after a corner on the edge of the area. The midfielder curled the ball goalwards, but his effort went agonisingly wide.

Llan pressed forward late on and Loughor almost made them pay with a quick counter attack, but Josh Watkins saved well one on one. There was one final effort for Llan when Daf Green found Corrie Morris down the right side, Morris crossed low but Rai was inches from a telling touch as the ball trickled past. A excellent performance despite the result. Can only ask for the same and a deserved result will follow soon.
