Stylish Display Puts Llan Top

Saturday 19th February 2011

Llangennech produced a great display of passing footbal which often started with the defence and flowed through the midfield to allow the strikers to score the goals. Everyone who watched this game was treated to a fantastic performance from everyone in a Llangennech jersey. Llan went into half time 3 -0 up with goals from Lloyd Francis, Tom Roberts and Fraser Dickson. Tom epitomised the spirit of the team and showed great touches and skill only to be denied more goals from a good performance from the goalkeeper.

The second half saw Llangennech cut loose and goals came from Fraser Dickson (4), Jordan Badman (2), Aaron Davies and Callum Dawe (2). The Llangenench defence were solid and started the majority of goal scoring chances as they switched play and joined the midfield going forward. The passing between defence, midfield and the strikers was quick, crisp, purposeful and clinical. In one move, Llangennech played the ball from their box and with a a total of 6 touches between  6 players resulted in a goal which could grace any Premiership game. Llangenench also showed they can score from distance as Callum Dawe proved with a dipping shot taken just inside the Calconic half.

The Calsonic goalkeeper was hurt in the second half and had to leave the pitch with a bad back.  We wish him a speedy recovery.

Final score 12-0
