Llan 3-1 Kidwelly

Llan maintained there recent good form churning out a fourth consecutive victory against Kidwelly. Both teams saw plenty of the ball in a indifferent half which saw Llan threaten first but Kidwelly's goalkeeper was brave and collected the ball from a couple of corners. Kieran Partridge played a more central role in this fixture and justified his selection with a superb all round display and won a penalty midway through the half. It was a determined run which was stopped when he was bundled over by two defenders after Corrie Morris' flick on. However, Kidwelly's goalkeeper made a good save to keep out the penalty.

Within five minutes Llan created the best passage of the match with a brilliant flowing move. The ball was played out of defence to the centre midfield and on to left winger Zack. Match day captain Zack dummied his way past Kidwelly's full back and delivered a teasing low cross, Sam Evans arrived from the right wing and side footed the ball into the bottom corner to put Llan ahead. Credit to Kidwelly though who were strong and swift in their response testing the Llan defence and eventually equalising. Llan didn't deal with a free kick and some further slack marking presented Kidwelly's winger to fire in a excellent half volley. Kidwelly were on top and put the home side under pressure before the break, notably with a fierce free kick into the side netting and a shot from the edge of the area which Jordan Saunders made a fine stop tipping around the post.

The second period was much more productive for Llan who showed a improved performance and dug in to earn the three points. Although, Jordan Saunders had to be on his toes to sweep up on a couple of ocassions, one of which led to Llan's second goal. His long kick was chested down by Jack Evans who put the ball into the path of Baris Hakman to slide the ball beneath Kidwelly's keeper after his length of the field run in support.

Corrie Morris thought he had lengthened Llan's lead but his thumping header from Liam Williams' corner was dissallowed for a push. The striker didn't have to wait long until he did get on the scoresheet though guiding in Sean Jewell's wide free kick. It rounded off a good second half performance which takes Llan up the table.
