Ammanford 8-4 Llangennech

Sunday 13th March 2011

Llangennch travelled to Ammanford this morning in the hope of beating their opponents for the first time. On another day it could have been a different story if we capatalised on the amount of chances we created and we could have easily gone into the half winning comfortably. But desptie this we went in on the half down 2-1.

Fenton Andrews started up front for the first time this season and the change of position seemed to have worked as he scored 2 and set up the other two, he was also in the heart of everything good we created but our final ball let us down and allowed Ammanford to re-group and clear their ranks. In other pleasing news we welcomed back the talented Oliver Smith to the squad who has been missing of late due to a knee injury. The pleasing news also followed as first career goals came to Brandon Mason with a cool and calm finish and also another first career goal for Jack Grovesnor who scored our first headed goal from a set-piece with a lovely glancing header. All in all a very spirited performance by all. Next up at home are Camford Whites who we have already beaten twice this season.
