Caerbryn 3 Llangennech 5

Saturday 19th March 2011

Llangennech came away from Caerbryn with an impressive victory that lifts them into second place in Division Two.

Team:  Martin Williams, Rhys Davies, Darren Dickeson, Emyr Williams, Tom Dakin, Rhys Wakely, Curtis Roberts, Jack James, Nick Maguire, Dai Thomas, Antony Lewis. Sub: Steffan Cook.

Caerbryn took the lead inside ten minutes before Antony Lewis' superb free kick brought Llan level with twenty minutes played.

The lead was short lived however as Caerbryn were awarded a penalty despite the Llan players protesting that it was actually the home player that had handled the ball.  The resulting spot kick was dispatched high into the net.

Llangennech showed great character to again bounce back and a headed goal from Dai Thomas brought the scores level.  Antony Lewis put Llan in the lead for the first time in the match before half time.

After the break, Llan pressed on and scored twice through Thomas and Lewis again, the latter securing his hat-trick.  Caerbryn pulled a goal back before the end but Llan had done enough to secure three points that move them up to second position.
