Under 13's Win Top of the Table Clash

Monday 28th March 2011

Llangennech played kidwelly in Kidwelly park in perfect football conditions.

From the start Llangennech looked comfortable on the ball and full of purpose as they took to the field against a Kidwelly side who were placed second in the league , just below Llangennech before the start of the game, equal on points but with a game in hand.

Striker Tom Roberts looks to enjoy playing in Kidwelly , following on from his excellent game in the cup, he scored the opener for Llangennech after 2 minutes, following good pressure on the Kidwelly defence and a good finish. Tom celebrated his hatrick within 15 miutes after finishing a header and powerful strike soon afterwards.

Llangennech played expansive football, passing the ball throughout the team to create chances on the Kidwelly goal for the forward players. Two further goals came for Llangennech in the first half from Aaron Davies and Jordan Badman, both converting with headers. A powerful freekick which hit the crossbar from Callum Dawe lead to Aarons header whilst Callum again provided a great cross for Jordan to register his headed goal.

First Half LLangennech 5 Kidwelly 0

The second half saw Llangennech continue their domination of the game. The defence of Tim Thomas, Aaron Davies, Owain Thomas and Ieuan Thomas looked comfortable on the ball and often started Llangennechs attacks whilst looking solid in defence. Dan Breddy, Lloyd Francis, Jordan Badman, Fraser Dickson and Callum Dawe worked tirelessly creating space to receive the ball  to pass and run at Kidwelly to create the chances that came. A sixth goal came from a header by Lloyd following a pinpoint cross from Callum.

A number of chances fell to Llangennech which the Kidwelly defence and goalkeeper dealt with bravely to stop the attacks with some good tackling and good saves.

Fraser Dickson finished the scoring for Llangennech with 2 well taken goals which came from following up shots saved by the kidwelly keeper . Tom Arthur and Brandon Fuge bolstered the Llangenench defence in the second half , both making some great tackles keeping Kidwelly on the back foot. Leon Morris, in goal again looked comfortable and together with Brandons first half display in goal kept another clean sheet. Kidwelly were awarded a penalty in the last minutes of the game for an obstruction to a player, the shot however was put wide of the Llangennech post.

Final score  Llangennech 8 Kidwelly 0
