Llangennech u13's go 15 games unbeaten

Monday 9th May 2011

In a scrappy first half, Owain Thomas scored his first for the season with a well taken shot into the roof of the Calsonic net. A second goal followed by a great cross from Daniel Breddy to Tomos Arthur whose exquiste first touch and quick shot beat the Calsonic goalie. Half time Llangennech 2 Calsonic 0.

The second half saw Llangennech come out and play more attacking football, one such attack saw Jordan Badman drift past a couple of defenders and saw his shot beat the goalie into the net. Calsonic pulled a goal back when Cai Morris-Daniels was judged to pull back a Calsonic stiker. The resulting penalty kick was well struck and despite Cai getting a hand to the ball, was beaten by the power in the shot. Llangennech reponded with a number of attacks on the Calsonic goal and looked increasingly threatening, well taken goals came from Fraser Dickson, Tomos Arthur and Tom Roberts to put the result beyond doubt.

Final score: Calsonic 1 Llangennech 6

A bit of a sccrappy game of football as a number players were played in new positions, however this win extended Llangennech's unbeaten run to 15 games and have not lost since 20th November 2010.

They now go into the last game of the season against Bancffosfelin at the Park on Friday needing at least 1 point to be sure of winning the league championship.
